Interview: Trio of Directors Talk ‘Summer of 84’

Davey Armstrong may be a teenager, but he has a detective’s mind. If there is a conspiracy theory out there, he knows about it. His bedroom walls are coated with newspaper clippings about UFOs, Bigfoot, and the like. So, when kids in his county start disappearing, he’s the first one to connect the dots. With the help of his three friends, Davey sets out to prove that something is rotten in their sleepy suburban neighborhood.

ScreenPicks spoke with the film’s trio of directors Anouk Whissell, François Simard, and Yoann-Karl Whissell (collectively known as RKSS) who are also the makers of the cult hit “Turbo Kid,” about their newest nostalgic film about stranger danger, “Summer of 84.”
